tesa® 51865 Next Gen – Differential: Advanced Double-Sided Tape for Precision Applications

tesa® 51865 Next Gen – Differential is a high-performance double-sided industrial mounting tape designed with sustainability and versatility in mind. Featuring a biomass-balanced adhesive and a 90% post-consumer recycled (PCR) PET backing, this tape reduces CO₂ emissions by 37% compared to its predecessor.

The tape’s asymmetrical design, with 100µm adhesive on the liner-covered side and 60µm on the open side, delivers exceptional bonding versatility. It ensures a strong, reliable bond on flat profiles and extruded trims laminated under controlled conditions. Certified for skin contact and resistant to environmental factors like humidity, UV light, and high temperatures (up to 200°C for short periods), tesa® 51865 Next Gen offers unmatched durability and flexibility.

Key Features:

  • Asymmetrical Adhesive Design: 100µm on liner side and 60µm on open side for defined substrates.

  • Sustainable Construction: Biomass-balanced adhesive and 90% PCR PET backing reduce CO₂ emissions.

  • Environmental Resistance: Reliable performance under humidity, UV exposure, and high temperatures.

  • Certified for Skin Contact: Safe for applications requiring direct human interaction (ISO 10993-5, ISO 10993-10).

  • Immediate Usability: Ensures secure bonding right after assembly.

Applications:

  • Furniture Industry: Mounting decorative trims and profiles with precision.

  • Roller-Blind Production: Secure bonding of components for efficient assembly.

  • Magnetic Stripe Mounting: Ensures a reliable and lasting hold on varied substrates.
