Meet Gecko® Nanoplast®, a revolutionary fastening solution that mimics the remarkable grip of gecko feet. Developed by Gottlieb Binder GmbH and brought to Central & Eastern Europe exclusively by EKO-TECH Sp. z o.o., Gecko® Nanoplast® is a nanostructured silicone fastener that clings instantly to smooth surfaces like glass, metal, and plastics without any glue or hooks. Its micro-structured silicone film contains an ultra-dense array of ~29,000 microscopic suction cups per cm², delivering secure hold without requiring a counterpart adhesive layer. The result is an adhesive-free fastener that provides high strength attachment on contact, yet peels off cleanly with zero residue left behind.
Gecko® Nanoplast’s innovative micro-suction surface (magnified) bonds firmly to smooth materials using millions of nano-scale contacts, then releases without a trace. This biomimetic design leverages Van der Waals forces – the same natural mechanism gecko lizards use to climb – to achieve a strong but residue-free grip even on wet or oily surfaces.
